The Tourism Authority of Thailand has just started a new contest, called “The Little Big Project.” This contest is aimed to give travelers the opportunity to join on a two week volunteer holiday somewhere is Thailand. The New Heaven Reef conservation Program is one of the choice for contestants, with an amazing trip lined up for the winner.
In the first week you will learn to dive, while staying the amazing Baan Talay resort in the tranquil bay of Ao Leuk. After learning to dive, you will get involved in the conservation projects going on at the NHRCP and get a fun introduction to coral reef ecology, research, and restoration.
In the second week you also get the chance to work on some Save Koh Tao Projects and learn about sustainable living and traditional island culture. Towards the end of your program, spend a day at the local school volunteering with the teachers and hanging out with the local kids to get them to practice their English skills. Before leaving, take a day to relax with a snorkel boat trip around the island and say good bye to the New Heaven team at the evening BBQ.
Don’t miss this great opportunity, you only have to make a 1 minute video and get your friends and family to vote for you. Good Luck!
Details are available on the TAT Little Big Project website.
